Lucas began his career as a Naval Flight Officer, gaining experience leading highly skilled teams working with advanced technology in a dynamic environment.
Immediately following his first tour he received orders to Washington D.C. to serve as a flag lieutenant to a three-star admiral where he worked closely with, senior officers, appointed officials, and their staffs. He then moved on to work in a rapid acquisition office in the Pentagon, matching emerging technologies with markets, and accelerating development, commercialization, and deployment.
Upon leaving the Navy, Lucas joined GlaxoSmithKline where he spent three years as an internal consultant, working with diverse, global teams, implementing billion dollar, global, C-level mandated projects.
He was then recruited to a small high-tech engineering firm involved in a wide range of R&D projects in the aerospace, medical device and oil & gas industry. Senior Partner
Vicki is a partner for complex, high-stakes problems, helping leaders move to sustainable, human-centered decisions.
Today, Vicki works with a select group of clients at the most demanding edges of business, providing advisory to senior leaders across many worlds, finance and hedge funds, technology, and high-growth companies scaling from early growth through the mid-market. Her current work includes senior leaders at hedge funds such as Schonfeld and Mubadala Capital, founder-led companies pursuing aggressive growth, and a television writers' room developing a series for Apple TV. Across all of it, she brings the full weight of two prior careers spent in the highest-stakes rooms in industry and government.
That range comes from a career as a consultant and advisor at the highest levels of industry and government. Vicki built and led a boutique advisory firm as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, scaling it through rapid growth, and earlier shaped strategy at Deloitte. She led leadership development and team dynamics work for Fortune 500 leaders at organizations like ExxonMobil and Salesforce, and at the most senior ranks of government drove strategic planning and organizational redesign, including Assistant Secretary–level leadership at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, with earlier advisory work at a federally chartered national security institute supporting senior leaders in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
That work was built on a first career in uniform. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Vicki began as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, leading skilled teams through complex, high-stakes operations. She deployed to Afghanistan alongside Army and international forces, working directly with senior command teams, NATO partners, and interagency leaders, and later served as a senior advisor at the Pentagon's National Military Command Center, contributing to strategic visioning for Navy Irregular Warfare and future operating concepts.
Vicki holds a B.A. in English from the United States Naval Academy and an M.A. in the Great Books from St. John's College.
